Section one ( Asana )
In this chapter will focus on the word asana meaning in yoga
generally, the word asana in modern yoga means (posture), and as per old text the word asana divided into 2 parts (as= to sit, ana = breath) which means sit with your breath or sit in a special way to breathe '
Ref# (One simple thing book for Eddi Stern)
Asana in the meaning of posture also has 2 aspects:
One is related to the structure and the other one related to the function
in another meaning we can say the form (shape) and function of the posture.
if we focus more in the form and chose a posture doesn't suit our body anatomy that will lead to injury may be not at the present but may be later, meanwhile if you focus more on the function that will lead to get the benefits of the posture with minimal or no risk.
