What will the myofascial release workshop explore?

The planned focus is an anatomy-led introduction to fascial assessment and osteopathic myofascial release principles. The themes below draw on the project’s supplied MFR teaching references; the final two-day agenda is subject to Dr. Sanet’s confirmation.

01 / UNDERSTAND FASCIA

Fascial anatomy and tissue properties

Explore fascial layers, connective-tissue relationships and the concepts of elasticity, viscosity and plasticity.

02 / DEVELOP OBSERVATION

Palpation and assessment concepts

Explore tissue texture, asymmetry, altered motion and tenderness as elements of a hands-on assessment framework.

03 / EXPLORE THE BARRIER

Direct and indirect MFR principles

Examine the concepts of restrictive barriers, “bind” and “ease,” and their role in osteopathic myofascial work.

04 / THINK BEYOND ONE REGION

Whole-body anatomical relationships

Consider how fascial continuity and transverse diaphragm regions inform osteopathic thinking.
